Victoria is the only Australian mainland State that has 'Undeclared' termite municipalities yet pest managers are treating infestations in these areas sometimes up to four and five times a day. This means that if you live in these areas you will have no notification there are termites there, increasing risk of termite infestation.
Since efforts began in March ’04, thirteen municipalities have redesignated to termite 'Declared' but there are 24 Councils in Victoria yet to do so.
UNDECLARED/UNPROTECTED:
Melbourne Metropolitan Area: Whitlesea, Melton, Brimbank, Moonee Valley, Maribrynong, Melbourne, Yarra, Boroondara, Hobsons Bay (part), Stonnington, Bayside, Kingston, Greater Dandenong, Darebin,
Regional Victoria: West Wimmera, Southern Grampians, Hepburn, Ballarat, Corangamite, Colac-Otway, Surfcoast, Greater Geelong, Alpine.
