Termite Action Victoria is a voluntary, impartial, not for profit organisation with origins comprised of CSIRO, Archicentre, the Australasian Pest Managers' Association and Australia's foremost termite barrier companies. It is maintained by public donation and proceeds of its homeowner termite protection online video guides based on its acclaimed community termite information evenings held in conjunction with redesignated Municipalities in metropolitan Melbourne and Termite Infolink, an authoritive, online scientific community made up of almost a hundred entimologists world-wide.
With no building insurance available for termite infestation, or restitution, Termite Action Victoria's focus is to protect Victorian homeowners by tirelessly working to ensure all presently designated termite 'Undeclared' regions in the State of Victoria are designated termite 'Declared,' helping to minimise risk to Victorian property owners and public liability risk to Victorian municipalities and their Building Departments currently still needing to redesinate to termite 'Declared'.

Victoria is the only Australian mainland State that has 'Undeclared' termite municipalities yet pest managers are treating infestations in these areas sometimes up to four and five times a day. This means that if you live in these areas you will have no notification there are termites there, increasing risk of termite infestation.
Since efforts began in March ’04, thirteen municipalities have redesignated to termite 'Declared' but there are 24 Councils in Victoria yet to do so.
